MAKE YOUR OWN FOAMING HAND SOAP

My kids love foaming hand soap, and wouldn't ya know I ran out!  Thought hummm there has to be a recipe and wa-la....I found one thanks to freetobefrugal.  Here is the recipe...
Works like a charm.....

Foaming Soap Recipe
1  1/2 Tablespoons liquid hand soap
warm tap water
Put liquid hand soap in empty foaming soap container. Add warm tap water, leaving enough room to shake. Replace pump lid and shake. Pump once or twice to prime. That’s it.
Note: The recipes I referenced called for anywhere from 1 to 3 tablespoons of liquid hand soap. I used 1 1/2, which was plenty. Next time, I may cut it to 1 tablespoon.

A NEW WAY TO DRY HAIR...HEHEHEHE

This is my daughter, I went to go downstairs and saw her drying her hair like this..I said, "what the heck are you doing", she said drying my hair, it keeps my arms from getting tired'!  She has Fibromyagia and so does her older sister.  Just the little things like drying their hair, that we take for granted makes them tired.

IT'S ALMOST THAT DREADED TIME....

Back to school shopping is just around the corner, and I dread it every year.  It's so depressing to see how much your kids have grown up, and OUTGROWN all their clothes... Luckily I have 3 daughters and some clothes I can pass down to help cut down on the cost of buying all new clothing.  Every summer my kids dread the day when I make them have a fashion show and try on all their clothes in their closet to see what fits and what can be passed down.  When they were little they loved fashion show day, but now being they are teenagers it's not so fun!

Here are a few ideas that can help save a Dime~A~Day..

*Clothes swap party with your neighborhood/church friends...This is a great idea for infants and     toddlers
*Yard Sale-this can help get rid of old clothing and help purchase new items.
*Consignment Shops-A lot of places will buy your gently used clothing...
*Always remember to buy OFF SEASON, you can save a bundle!
*Always check the clearance racks...You never know what you can come across.
*Re-purpose clothing-Turn a pair of jean that are too short into a pair of shorts!
*If you shop on the Internet remember to shop through a reward site such as EBATES.
*Craigslist-sell by the bundle..always be careful meeting people..
*Facebook-I have been seeing a lot of yard sale pages for their county/area they live in, take pic, set price and post! EASY

SUN BURN HELP....ouchhhh

Here are 10 helpful tips to help a sunburn....
Also remember to use plenty of sunscreen and stay hydrated!

INFO FOUND HERE

1. Soak it up. For immediate relief, soak the sunburned areas in cold water (but not ice water) or with cold compresses for 15 minutes. The cold reduces swelling and wicks away heat from your skin.
2. Take a dip. If you’re burned all over, take a soak in a cool bath to which you’ve added oatmeal. You can either buy a colloidal oatmeal product, such as Aveeno, or simply grind up a cup of oatmeal in a food processor and add it to your bath.
3. Give yourself a green tea compress. Brew up a pot of green tea and let it cool. Soak a clean cloth in the tea, and use it as a compress for sunburned areas. The tea contains ingredients that help protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation damage and reduce inflammation.
4. Freshen up with mint. Use the cooling, aromatic qualities of peppermint to quell the scorch of a sunburn. Either make peppermint tea or mix two drops of peppermint oil with a cup of lukewarm water. Chill the concoction and gently bathe the sunburned area.
5. Bring veggies to the rescue. For extra-painful spots of sunburn, rub the area gently with sliced cucumber or potato. They contain compounds that cool the burn and help reduce swelling.
6. Try some vinegar. Vinegar contains acetic acid—one of the components of medications such as Aspirin. It can help ease sunburn pain, itching, and inflammation. Soak a few sheets of paper towels in white vinegar, and apply them to the sunburned areas. Leave them on until the towels are dry. Repeat as needed.
7. Take a vinegary bath. If the sunburn itches, take a cool bath, but add two cups of vinegar to the bathwater before you get in.
8. Coat yourself. Mix baking soda and vinegar to make a thick paste, and slather it over the sunburned areas. Apply the salve before bedtime, and leave it on overnight.
9. Make your bed sunburn-safe. Sprinkle your sheets with cornstarch to minimize painful chafing. (Use this technique only for bad sunburns, since you’ll have to wash the sheets afterward.)
10. Go for aloe. Apply a light coating of pure aloe vera to the sunburned skin, using either a fresh piece from the plant or in the gel form you can buy at the drugstore. If you buy the gel, make sure it’s 100% pure aloe vera
