GLAZED PORK TENDERLOIN---PINTEREST WIN.....
Crockpot Brown Sugar Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin
Serves:6
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Pork tenderloin
- 1 teaspoon Ground sage
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Pepper
- 1 clove Garlic; crushed
- ½ cup Water
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
- ½ cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
Instructions
- Mix together the seasonings: sage, salt, pepper and garlic.
- Rub over tenderloin. Place ½ cup water in slow cooker; place tenderloin in slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- hour before the roast is finished, mix together the ingredients for the glaze in a small sauce pan: brown sugar, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, water, soy sauce.
- Heat over medium and stir until mixture thickens, about 4 minutes.
- Brush roast with glaze 2 or 3 times during the last hour of cooking. (For a more caramelized crust: remove from crockpot and place on aluminum lined sheet pan, glaze, and set under broiler for 1-2 minutes until bubbly and caramelized. Repeat 2 to 3 more times until desired crust is achieved.)
- Serve with remaining glaze on the side.

WHAT'S COOKING TODAY??
Today--I'm decided to use my crock pot, which I LOVE almost as much as I love my Ninja Chopper. I found this recipe on Pinterest and thought hummmm I think I give this a try! I don't know how my kids will take all the peppers but it really smells yummy cooking and the best part...IT HAS CHOCOLATE! who can not a recipe with chocolate!

- 1 1/2 pounds extra lean ground sirloin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14 ounce) can no salt added diced tomatoes
- 1 (14 ounce) can no salt added tomato sauce
- 2 (14 ounce) cans no salt added crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- dash of red pepper flakes
- salt, to taste
How-To
- In a pan, brown the ground beef and add it to the crock pot.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion, green pepper, and garlic until tender. Add to the crock pot.
- Put the remaining ingredients into the crock pot and stir together.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with your favorite whole wheat noodles!
